  • Out and About

As previously mentioned, we sponsored the Cotswold Show this year. We sponsored the Gloucester Bee Keeping stand as we thought this tied in nicely with our raison d’être. Simon was busy on Saturday, talking to many small holders and suppliers of local produce. Whilst on the Sunday, Paul … well he just took it easy for the day, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Nick Knowles and the Earl and Lady Bathhurst.

Paul relaxes with some local produce.
Its hard work this advertising lark

The show was well attended and the weather on both days was hot, too hot.

    Next.. The Frampton Country Fair

  • Camping Facilities

Whilst Paul was sitting in the unexpected sunshine this weekend enjoying a glass of ‘something’ after setting up his caravan near Cheltenham, he opened up From Gate To Plate and found Hayles Fruit Farm not 2.5 miles down the road. Whilst browsing what Hayles had to offer, he noticed they also had campsite facilities. PING! Lightbulb moment. So, following that flash of inspiration we now have categories for those of you that offer camping facilities at your farms. We know its not strictly ‘foodie’ based but we’re here to support the local farms and producers no matter what they sell.

  • Field to Fork Festival

We will have a presence at the Field To Fork Festival. The festival celebrates food, where it comes from and how it gets to our plates. Expect a great FREE day out for the entire family, from more than 80 food, drink and crafty stalls to live music, loads of kids entertainment, sports, hands-on experiences, displays, animals and much more. The event is being held on the 28th April 2018 in Newport, Shropshire on the site of Harper Adams University.

  • Stroud Farm Services

A big ‘Thank You’ to our friends at Stroud Farm Services for allowing us to display one of our banners. Started in 1979, Stroud Farm Services is a local business providing the local rural community with Agricultural, Equestrian and Pet feed, Clothing and Supplies. Matt and his colleagues have been very supportive of us and we are very grateful to them.

  • The Cotswold Show

    The Cotswold Show 2018

We’re delighted and proud to announce that we are sponsoring The Cotswold Show and Food Festivalthis year. The show is held in Cirencester Park, this time on the 7th and 8th of July. There are many attractions, demonstrations and of course plenty of local food and drink to had.  We hope to make many new connections with both local producers, small holders and of course, members of the public looking for local food and drink.

  • Spreading The Word

We’ve been very lucky as McCartneys Livestock Auctions in Worcester have been kind enough to hang one of our vinyl advertising banners at their livestock market.

  • Referrals Rewards

We need more producers to register. We have  some beautiful A5 flyers promoting ‘From Gate To Plate’ and would like to send you  a small amount of them for you to hand out at your local farmers’ market, agricultural  merchants, local Country Shows and Fairs, to other local producers, on the counter at your shop, or anywhere else that you can think of!

As  a ‘thank you’ for helping us, we are offering a prize of £100 in Amazon vouchers to the person that finds us the most new producers (which fits the criteria) from now until the end of August. We will also send out a selection of ‘From Gate To Plate’ goodies, every month, to somebody, chosen at random, who has supplied us with a new producer.

If you are able to help us to help you then just send us a message and we will post some flyers to you. Together we can make 2018 the year where ‘From Gate To Plate’ becomes the nationally recognised web resource connecting consumers to the best local produce.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Location targeted Ads are now available

Our Ad banners are now location ‘centric’. We now show Ad banners that are pertinent to the location of the user. After all, what is the point of showing someone in Devon an Ad for a location in North Yorkshire? Our Ad system will prioritise banners in the same county as the user, then by region and then finally nationally.

  • A New Year Message from the Team at ‘From Gate To Plate’.

The Team at ‘From Gate To Plate’ send you a very hearty ‘Happy New Year’ and hope that 2018 is a prosperous and rewarding year for you all, and that we can play a significant part in helping to drive more customers to your door.

‘From Gate to Plate’ ended 2017 on a high; hardly a day goes by without the media discussing the benefits of buying local produce. We were thrilled by how many producers across the country signed up with us, and were amazed by the range and quality of produce that is available in the U.K. You ‘early adopters’ have proved the site works and that people will use it.

We are currently working on a media campaign that will get ‘From Gate To Plate’ noticed by the type of consumer that wants to buy your products, and we would like you to help us.

We need to attract more producers, like you, to register with us.

To upload an image, re-visit your account page and select the ‘Your Directory’ option.
